The much-awaited JEE Main 2026 Paper-1 results have been officially released, bringing relief and excitement to lakhs of students across India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) published the final answer key on Monday morning and subsequently announced the results. Candidates can now download their scorecards by logging in with their application number, password, and captcha code on the official website.

 

Telugu students have delivered an outstanding performance this year. Two students from Andhra Pradesh and one student from Telangana secured a perfect 100 percentile, highlighting the strong representation of Telugu candidates among the national toppers.

 

JEE Main Paper-1 was conducted on January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28 for admissions into BE/BTech programs offered by NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions. The results for JEE Main Paper-2, which was held on January 29, will be announced separately at a later date.

Out of 13,55,293 students who registered for the exam nationwide, 13,04,653 candidates appeared, resulting in an attendance rate of 96.26%. Overall, 12 students across the country achieved the perfect 100 percentile score. Among them, Narendra Babu Gari Mahith and Pasala Mohith from Andhra Pradesh, and Vivaan Sharad Maheshwari from Telangana were among the top performers.

 

Meanwhile, the registration process for the second session of JEE Main is currently ongoing. Students who are not satisfied with their first session scores have the opportunity to appear again. The second session exams are scheduled to be held from April 2 to April 9. The best score from the two sessions will be considered for final ranking.

Based on these rankings, the top 2.5 lakh candidates will qualify to appear for JEE Advanced. Successful candidates in JEE Advanced will be eligible for admission into prestigious IITs through the JoSAA counseling process.
